due to the increasing use of the search feature on popurls i’ve now launched a stand-alone site at search.popurls.com that allows you to quickly search through all popurls content. what makes it special is that it indexes hundreds of the most popular sources in near real-time and thus allows you to find emerging topics faster than in a regular search engine. the two other new features are:

opensearch – if your browser supports it you can add popurls directly to your list of integrated search engines with the push of a button.

rss feeds – once you’ve searched for a term you can grab the feed url to monitor important keywords directly in your feed reader etc.
