where do you keep all the stories you find (on popurls) throughout the day that you like to read later on? in all likelihood they're scattered on your desktop, e-mail or bookmark collection. enter readbag, a little tool that allows you to store all those links in order to read them later, on another computer, your iphone or mobile, via rss, an api or even offline through google gears. while there are a few services out there that do similar things i couldn't find one that had all those features and with the advent of the new google app engine it was a no-brainer to build an own version from scratch. head over to readbag.com and give it a shot.note: this project is not related with popurls but i might combine the service for a seamless experience in the medium term.

as announced last week, the new sharing features on popurls are now live. if you're signed in, you'll find a new translucent button right next to each story that allows you to add a link to your clipbook (for reading it later; just like before) or share it on your very own popurls page at popurls.net/yournick (here's mine).
from there you can get a widget (like the one on the right) to integrate your favorite stories on your blog or use the rss feed to seamlessly publish the links to your lifestream, friendfeed, etc. without the need to go through additional sharing services. stories are purged after one week, so in typical popurls-manner it's just one page for all.right now widgets are available in classic popurls black, white or as a plain version that you can style with your own custom css. to use these features, all you need is a nickname defined in your profile. if you need any help with that, just drop me a line.
i'm really excited about this milestone and i hope you find it useful.

ever wished to group the content by topic rather than by feed? well, now you can.
there is a new feature that allows you to choose between the familiar classic or river view as well as the new cluster layout that groups content by topics rather than by sites.
not interested in sports or want to have movies on top? select the "arrange" button to arrange the content blocks or click "hide" to disable a category.
